Celebrating Community Youth Volunteers

The achievements of young people in Milton Keynes have been recognised at the first "Achieve MK" awards.

The awards honour the innovative work taking place locally which helps to improve the lives of young people. The event was organised by Milton Keynes Council's Youth Service, working with voluntary youth organisations, to celebrate the work of both young people and adults.

Liberal Democrat councillor Sandra Clark, cabinet member responsible for youth services, said: "I am delighted that, as a Council, we are taking the time to inspire young people to take positive action in our community. These awards highlight all the good work the Council's Youth Service is doing to focus young people on being good citizens."
