Milton Keynes Schools - Good and Getting Better
10.57.40am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 11th Apr 2005
The latest Annual Report from OfSTED highlights North Crawley Church of England First School as particularly successful. It joins eight other schools in Milton Keynes that have been praised in this way.
Parliamentary Candidate for the Liberal Democrats in North East Milton Keynes, Jane Carr, said: "I am delighted at this latest success, especially as we have also recently had a sixth successive year of improved A Level and GCSE results. The Liberal Democrat-run Council, under the direction of Education Cabinet Member Sandra Clark, is working in close partnership with our schools to give local children a great start in life.
"Parents of younger children and couples thinking about starting a family have good reasons to vote Lib Dem. We will not waste your money on the Government's plans for Child Trust Funds. We will use this money to improve education for the youngest children - smaller class sizes and more 'extended schools', with nurseries, access to health and social care and other needs of local communities."
