It's Budget Time Again ... What Do You Think?12.11.37pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 5th Oct 2004 The Liberal Democrat Council is keen to find out residents' views on service priorities and the level of council tax. The Council will soon have to make some big decisions about how to spend its budget for next year (2005/2006) and the level of council tax across Milton Keynes. Your views will help in making these decisions. As part of the consultation process, the Council has produced a leaflet which explains more about how the budget and level of council tax are decided and what the service priorities for next year might be. The leaflet also lets you know when the Council will be consulting further on specific budget proposals. Council Leader Isobel Wilson said: "Once again we've reached that time of the year when we are going to have to start looking at making some very important decisions about the budget, which of course has an effect on what services we provide to the people of Milton Keynes. During October, we'd like to hear your views on how we spend our budget and how much council tax you pay." The leaflet is available from all of the council's main offices, libraries and at various community locations across Milton Keynes. You can also access it online at http://www.mkweb.co.uk/mkcouncil/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=19046. Or you can get a copy by contacting the Corporate Policy Team on 01908 252693 or by writing to Budget 2005, Corporate Policy Unit, Milton Keynes Council, PO Box 111, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3HG.
