Olney Library Re-Opens

3.07.14pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 21st Sep 2004

Olney Library is open for business again after careful restoration of its ceiling.

Over the summer the library has been operating from a small temporary room while major building work was carried out. The original ceiling has now been restored, allowing more light into the library, making it more airy and inviting.

Liberal Democrat Councillor Sandra Clark, Cabinet Member with responsibility for libraries, said: "We hope that everyone will enjoy making use of the newly re-opened library which is now better than ever. The light and airy room means that it is even more inviting for people who wish to use the computer equipment, or borrow a CD or a book.

"I would like to thank library customers for being so understanding during the refurbishment."

Olney library is open regularly on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There is at least one library open somewhere in Milton Keynes every day of the week.

Every library in the MK area provides access to PCs, including the internet, loans of books, CDs, DVDs and other materials for people of all ages.
