Concerned residents in Emerson Valley North have contacted the Liberal Democrat Focus Team for support in taking action against anti-social behaviour in the Bowland Drive/Wenning Lane area. Problems reported in the area include:

  • Criminal damage to homes and property

  • Intimidation and harassment of residents

  • Persistent littering and broken glass on redways

  • Under age drinking and illegal drug use

The Focus Team has met residents and taken their concerns to officers from the newly formed MKC Safer Communities Unit. The Unit was set up as a new initiative by your Liberal Democrat Council to co-ordinate action against anti-social behaviour throughout Milton Keynes. It is a partnership between MKC and Thames Valley Police.

Councillor Martin Snell said, "I am concerned that local residents are being victimised by some teenagers and young adults. The parents of those involved need to be aware of what their young people are doing. We are working with the police and the Parish Council to obtain evidence about the individuals responsible for these criminal acts."
